Highlights: 4x4 Jeep ride, Mount Pinatubo trek, Lake Pinatubo, Lunch

Explore the Philippines’ most powerful volcano and go trekking on the picturesque landscape surrounding Mount Pinatubo. As one of the most destructive volcanic eruptions of the 20th century, Mount Pinatubo’s eruption on June 12, 1991 sent ash fall to as far away Singapore, and in the year to follow, volcanic particles in the atmosphere would lower global temperatures by 0.5 degrees Celsius (0.9 degrees Fahrenheit). The volcano that once wreaked havoc is now quiet and provides a beautiful setting for a day hike with views of the world’s largest lahar canyon. Get ready to wake up early for the transfer to the jump off point in Capas, Tarlac. From there, we travel towards Mount Pinatubo by 4x4 jeep for an exciting ride (15 kilometers) that comes with river beds crossings. The trek begins at approximately 8 AM at the foot of Mount Pinatubo crater. Prepare to hike 7 kilometers up to the mountain for about 2 hours and be rewarded with alluring views of Mount Pinatubo’s famous crater lake, known for its changing water color from blue green to deep blue depending on the season. Rest, explore the area, and enjoy an appetizing packed lunch with breathtaking views of the landscape below. After lunch, we start our descent and return to the jump off point, complete with a 4x4 ride and private transfers back to your hotel.
