El Nido, a coastal town comprising of 45 islands and islets on the northern tip of mainland Palawan, offers more than just a stereotypical tropical holiday. A natural setting of pristine beaches, aquamarine waters, stunning islands, lagoons, waterfalls, caves, and jungles host various activities like swimming, bird watching, kayaking, ziplining, and private island dinners. But what really draws people to El Nido are the spectacular views of majestic karst limestone formations emerging from the most beautiful and clearest blue waters. El Nido, which means "the nest" in Spanish, got its name after edible nests of small birds known locally as Balinsasayaw (Aerodramus fuciphagus) or Swiftlets were discovered in the limestone cliffs surrounding the area. Many locals practice manual climbing of the limestone caves to gather Swiftlet nests up to this day.
The beauty of El Nido is sure to charm and inspire even the most jaded world traveler. English writer and filmmaker Alex Garland took inspiration from El Nido’s palm-fringed beaches and hidden lagoons and turned it into a novel “The Beach,” which was later made into a film starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Garland was living in El Nido when he wrote his 1996 cult novel. El Nido lit the fire that ignited his imagination and gave him a worldwide hit.

Mabuhay, welcome to El Nido! Meet & greet at El Nido Lio Airport (Airport code ENI) then transfer to the hotel. Free time or book an optional tour with us. Overnight El Nido
DAY 2 (BL) EL NIDO
Breakfast at the hotel then get ready to hit the beach and discover El Nido’s breathtaking lagoons and so much more. El Nido Tour A is the most sought-after among all El Nido tours because it takes you to not one but two out of three lagoons located on Miniloc Island. Big Lagoon is one of the most photographed spots in all of El Nido. It features a narrow and shallow entrance channel that leads into a giant lagoon surrounded by epic limestone cliffs. This spot is best explored with a kayak which is available to rent on site. Secret Lagoon will require a little bit of flexibility because to access it, we duck into a small entrance – a hole – concealing a bizarre, secluded water pool completely surrounded by towering rocks. We also check out Payong-Payong Beach and the nearby Shimizu Island both offering stunning views whether underwater or above water. Check out the amazing limestone rock formations seemingly emerging from the sea then put your snorkeling gear on and go underwater to see the vibrant display of marine life. Shimizu Island is also where, most of the time, the boat stops for a delightful picnic lunch of yummy seafood and fruits in season. Afterwards enjoy sunbathing on soft, powdery white shores or swimming in waters that shimmer in various shades of blue at Seven Commandos Beach. Don’t forget to check out the tree swing and the little bar that serves refreshing drinks and cocktails. After the island hopping tour, we return to El Nido town with plenty of new memories made, ones you will not soon forget. Overnight El Nido
Make sure to bring swimming clothes, extra dry clothes, hiking sandals or aqua shoes, beach towel, hat or cap, sunglasses, sunscreen lotion, underwater camera or GoPro, and waterproof bag. Island hopping itinerary is subject to change depending on weather conditions, rise & fall of tides.
