DAY 2 (BLD) MANILA-ANTIPOLO-MANILA

Breakfast at the hotel then get ready to say “Mabuhay, Manila!” as we explore exciting places on the eastern part of Metro Manila. We start in Quezon City with Quezon Memorial Circle, a national park in the shape of an ellipse. Its centerpiece is the Quezon Memorial Shrine, an art deco-themed, Federico Ilustre-designed monument that holds the final resting place of former Philippine President Manuel Quezon. The towering monument stands 66 meters (217 feet) tall, representing Quezon’s age when he perished. At the top of the pylons are three mourning angels dressed in Philippine terno while holding Sampaguita flower wreaths. We continue the tour to Marikina, the Shoe Capital of the Philippines, famous for its thriving shoes industry and the delicacy Everlasting (Marikina-style meatloaf). We visit Marikina Shoe Museum which showcases what remains of Imelda Marcos' legendary stash of shoes, and the world’s largest shoes made in Marikina which is big enough to fit 30 normal-sized people. We also check out shoe stores selling beautifully crafted, export-quality footwear. (We wouldn't blame you if you end up buying a pair or two!) Afterwards, we make our way to Café Kapitan, a Spanish era Bahay na Bato and former residence of Don Laureano “Kapitan Moy” Guevara, the founder of the shoe industry in Marikina. Enjoy a Spanish lunch of Paella Valenciana then go bargain shopping at Marikina Riverbanks Tiangge. Next we navigate to Antipolo City, a suburb of Manila located on the slopes of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range and a haven for the arts and relaxation. We visit Antipolo Cathedral where the Marian image, brought from Mexico in 1626, is believed to be miraculous in granting safe travels, prosperous lives, and healing the sick. In June 2022, the Vatican raised Antipolo Cathedral's status to an international shrine – the first such designation in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. It’s now one of only twelve places in the entire world with this special distinction. Afterwards we make our way to Cloud 9 where your courage will be put to test – cross the Hanging Bridge and be rewarded with mesmerizing panoramic views of the vast surroundings once you reach the 360° View Deck. Enjoy Filipino dinner amidst a mountain resort setting with a commanding view of the blazing sky over the majestic Laguna de Bay and Metro Manila skyline. At the end of the day, transfer back to your hotel. Overnight Manila

DAY 3 (B) MANILA-DEPARTURE

Breakfast at the hotel then free time until check out. Transfer to the airport for your flight. Tour ends. Farewell and until we meet again.
