The capital of the Philippines, its heart and soul, is Manila. Dubbed the Asian capital with a Latin spirit but Filipino soul, Manila sets the rhythm of life in this archipelago and is a vibrant hub that blends the Oriental with the Occidental. Get ready to say “Mabuhay, Manila” as we explore exciting places in the capital of FUN. We visit the charms of old Manila starting with Rizal Park, a massive plaza named after the greatest Filipino hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. Then, we make our way to the National Museum of Natural History which houses 12 permanent galleries that exhibit the country’s rich biological and geological diversity. Here, you will come face to face with Lolong (Well, his taxidermied self!), the Guinness World Record holder for the world's largest crocodile in captivity measuring 6.17 meters (20 feet, 3 inches). Don’t forget to check out the “Tree of Life” located at the center of the museum. We then enter the walled city of Intramuros and explore historical gems like Fort Santiago, Plaza Roma, and Manila Cathedral. Afterwards enjoy eating like a local at Patio de Conchita with a Filipino style Turo-Turo (point point) lunch where a wide selection of ready to eat viands are available for you to order by simply pointing. After lunch, we continue the tour to San Agustin Church, the last and only church standing in Intramuros after the destruction of World War 2. This UNESCO World Heritage Site with a rather simple façade conceals an ornate interior filled with objects of great historical and cultural merit. Take note of the intricate trompe l’oeil frescos on its ceiling. Enjoy refreshments with a stunning view at La Cathedral Café then go souvenir shopping at Tesoro's Philippine Handicrafts.

Do your body good with this spa treatment that's a fusion of Eastern therapies. The unique Borehilot Massage at Dusit Thani Manila's signature luxury spa is a 90-minute therapeutic experience that blends the traditional Filipino 'Hilot' and the traditional Balinese Boreh to heal and restore your body. Traditional Eastern remedies believe that illness is caused when our body's energies are unbalanced, so the core principle of therapy is to unblock these energy pathways to achieve health and wellness for both body and mind. Before your treatment, Devarana Spa's ambiance and reception is set to make you already feel relaxed and at ease, escaping from the busyness of the metro with their service aiming to treat you like Thai royalty, entering a private sanctuary. The Borehilot Massage begins with the Boreh treatment -- a warm Boreh paste is applied on target points of your body, covering the skin in a unique combination of spices that both exfoliate one's skin and warm up the muscles. The paste's blend of ginger root, cinnamon, clove and rice powder focus on the upper and lower back, legs and stomach to improve flexibility, while its heat and aromatic properties increase blood circulation. Boreh was said to be first experienced by rice farmers in Indonesia, a warm and soothing solution to their tired bodies after returning from the fields. After reducing pain and tension, the Borehilot experience concludes with a hilot-inspired massage therapy, the therapist kneading your weary muscles with long, soothing, medium-pressure strokes that promotes circulation. This ninety minute treatment at Devarana Spa will leave you feeling rejuvenated in a most unique way, your skin and body benefitting from a centuries-old blend of healing herbs.

PRIVATE TOUR
Tour code: OPTMNLPHS
Location: Angeles City
Duration: 10 hours
Pick up: 8 AM

Highlights: Puning Hot Spring experience with 4x4 Jeep ride, Hot volcanic sand spa therapy, Cold volcanic mud pack, Hot spring dip, Buffet lunch

Explore and relax in Angeles City with this exciting day tour. After a two-hour drive from Manila, we arrive at Puning Hot Spring, a wellness destination located along the southwestern part of Sacobia River at the foot of Mount Pinatubo. Puning Hot Spring offers off-road rides by 4x4 jeep, hot spring dips, heated volcanic sand massage by an indigenous Aeta therapist, sulfuric mudpack treatments, and a delightful lunch. As one of the most destructive volcanic eruptions of the 20th century, Mount Pinatubo’s eruption on June 12, 1991 sent ash fall to as far away Singapore, and in the year to follow, volcanic particles in the atmosphere would lower global temperatures by 0.5 degrees Celsius (0.9 degrees Fahrenheit). Despite Mount Pinatubo’s devastating eruption, it has brought a handful of impressive outcomes for tourism purposes and one of those is Puning Hot Spring. Take a dip into the therapeutic pools, choosing between 11 pools with varying temperatures (hot, warm, or cold). Relax in one of cottages and take in the stunning mountain sceneries. Your body and mind will be so thankful to you.

Make sure to bring comfortable clothes, hat or cap, sunglasses, sunscreen lotion, comfortable sandals or slippers. Bring extra clothes and toiletries.
