A tropical country with an abundance of natural resources, biological diversity, bountiful farming culture, and a strong cultural heritage, the Philippines is an exceptional agri tourism destination.
The Philippines has a tropical marine climate with two distinct seasons – the wet and dry seasons – making it an ideal place for agriculture. Located on the Pacific Ring of Fire, volcanic activities ensure the fertility of the soil. In addition to abundant rain and sunshine, the wide range of habitats and elevations account for an incredible variety of flora and fauna.
Agriculture has always been part of Filipino culture. Hardworking Filipino farmers and fishermen play an important contribution to the food supply not only of the country but also of the world by being a top exporter of bananas (USD 1.13B in 2021), pineapples (USD 284.61M in 2021), coconut oil (USD 393.6M in 2021), coconut water (USD 150.02M in 2021), processed tropical fruits (USD 146.82M in 2021), tuna, skipjack, and bonito (USD 345.15M in 2021), seaweeds & carrageenan (USD 208.37M in 2021), among others.
This tour puts nature on the centerstage, allowing you to reconnect with it and rediscover the joys of the rural and farm life. We lined up refreshing countryside and beachside accommodations, and prepared healthy, organic food featuring fresh from the farm ingredients to reinvigorate your well-being. Your meals will be served beside a waterfall, on a floating cottage, by a river, in the middle of a farm, and cliff-side with breathtaking views. Every bite and every sip will help local farmers and food tourism stakeholders.
Immerse yourself in the science behind rice production, salt making, honey production, Biochar, Vertical Gardening, Aquaponics, and Organic farming.
There’s plenty of hands-on experience too. Try your hand at strawberry jam making. Go fishing and have your catch cooked for lunch. Interact with a wide array of farm animals including chickens, pigs, sheep, ostriches, goats, peafowls, and bees. Harvest fresh mangoes, strawberries, dragon fruits, and indulge in a fruit buffet. Ever tried edible flowers for snack? This is your chance!
Take a break by dipping into hot springs, recharge with the cold waters of Majayjay Falls, discover Luljetta’s Hanging Gardens, and traverse Mapanuepe Lake, a serene lagoon that was a product of the cataclysmic eruption of Mount Pinatubo. Did we mention there’s also an island hopping tour?
Nature has gifted the Philippines with so much abundance and blessed it with a thriving agriculture industry. It’s no wonder that sustainability website TreeHugger named the Philippines one of the Top 8 Agritourism Destinations in the World in 2018. We invite you to come and visit, experience and appreciate the diverse agricultural landscape and cultural heritage of the country.

DAY 1 (BLD) ARRIVE MANILA-LUCBAN-TIAONG
Mabuhay! Welcome to Manila, the Philippines’ hyperactive capital that’s home to a man-made beach, the world’s oldest Chinatown, and shopping malls as huge as cities. We start the day right with a filling and delicious breakfast at Jollibee, the Philippines’ pride and joy. Then we drive to the countryside to Bukid Amara, a flourishing vegetable and flower farm with the captivating Mount Banahaw as its backdrop. After you finish gulping your welcome drink of fresh coconut, we tour The Flower Meadow. Be captivated with the alluring hues and colors of Blue sage, Sensation mix cosmos, Plume celosia, Sulphureus mix cosmos, Thumbelina extra dwarf mixed zinnia, Vincent’s 2 choice F1 hybrid sunflower, and so much more. Afterwards, we put your culinary skills to the test with a spring roll making activity. Far from the usual spring roll, the ingredients include edible flowers which will be used to make Floral Spring Rolls. Did you know flowers can boost your mood and health? Studies prove that the combination of certain smells and colors have mental, emotional, and sometimes physical healing qualities. Flowers equate to increased happiness. People feel happier when they receive flowers and when they are around flowers. Up next: We bounce to Villa Escudero, a massive estate with a working coconut plantation. Rediscover the joys of the countryside with leisurely activities like river rafting on a balsa and riding a cart drawn by a Carabao. Come lunchtime, we head to Labasin Falls. Kick off your Sunday shoes because lunch here involves immersing your feet into the flowing water from the falls. After lunch, there’s an award-winning cultural show that features the ethnic and colonial diversity of the country. Enjoy your first night in the country and soak up the magnetic local culture.
* Cultural show is available on weekends
DAY 2 (BLD) TIAONG-LIPA CITY-ALFONSO-SILANG-CALAMBA
Dig into breakfast then we make our way to Lipa City, home to Kapeng Barako (Barako coffee) and the noodle soup dish Lomi. First up, we discover the fascinating world of bees at Milea Bee Farm. Get ready for a major sugar rush with a taste of fresh honey directly from the beehive and bottomless honey drinks. We then navigate to Queens Strawberry Farm, a unique farm with 50,000 fruit-bearing strawberry plants using Vertical Farming and Aquaponics. Here we harvest fresh strawberries then do a crash course on strawberry jam making. Catch live Tilapia and be rewarded with a delicious, hard-earned lunch with Strawberry cheesecake for dessert. Afterwards, we make our way to Gourmet Farms to learn about the different varieties of Philippine coffee beans and tea blends. Did you know that in the 1860s, the Philippines was already exporting Kapeng Barako (Barako coffee) from Batangas to the Americas via San Francisco and, later on, to Europe with the opening of the Suez Canal, commanding five times the price compared to other varieties from Asia? At one point in the 19th century, the Philippines was the 4th largest coffee producing country in the world. Next, we drive to 88 Hot Spring Resort but before you hibernate in your room, enjoy a mouth-watering Korean barbecue dinner and a relaxing dip in one of the outdoor pools with naturally heated spring water from the dormant volcano Mount Makiling. Blissful!
* Strawberry picking is available from December to April

DAY 3 (BLD) CALAMBA-PILA- MAJAYJAY-NAGCARLAN-BAY-CALAMBA
Fill up on breakfast and down your coffee then we drive to the town of Pila, known for its beautifully preserved heritage houses as well as its thriving agriculture and livestock industry. We make our way to Graco Farms, a five hectare farm that prides itself in raising stress-free farm animals with ethical care. The name Graco is an acronym which means Growing, Reproducing Agricultural Commodities Organically. Here, we connect and interact with goats, fishes, ostriches, and many other fowls then sample sensational goat cheese and milk. Afterwards, we navigate to the charming Majayjay Falls where a dip into its cold waters is sure to reinvigorate. Smack your lips over garden salad with unlimited refills at Costales Nature Farms. Explore the uncanny burial site that is Nagcarlan Underground Cemetery. At the end of the day, enjoy an appetizing native dinner on a floating cottage. It doesn’t get any better than this!
DAY 4 (BLD) CALAMBA- LOS BAÑOS-ANGAT-BOTOLAN
Wakey wakey! We begin the day with a visit to the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), the world’s premier research organization. IRRI is home to over 136,000 rice varieties and is working to develop crops resistant to climate change. Unlock the vast knowledge behind rice production and check out the International Rice Genebank, a facility that safeguards the largest and most diverse collection of rice genetic resources in the world. Did you know IRRI contributed over 100,000 seeds of rice and wild relatives to the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, the world’s largest secure seed storage in the permafrost, 1,300 kilometers beyond the Arctic Circle in Norway? Next we bounce to Alcasid Peafowl Farm, an aviary that breeds different color mutations of exotic gamefowls and waterfowls. Be enchanted with colorful displays of plumage and learn about breeding Blue peafowls, Helmeted guineafowls, White peafowls, Dabbling ducks, Perching ducks, Geese, Swans, and other fowls. We then navigate to GK Enchanted Farm, an incubator and university for social enterprises that supports over 500 organizations. After touring the farm, enjoy your farm fresh lunch. Beep beep! It’s time for a road trip to Botolan. Tomorrow we hit the beach. Fun times ahead!
* GK Enchanted Farm tour is available on weekends
DAY 5 (BLD) BOTOLAN-IBA-BOTOLAN
Ready to be a farmer for a day? We have an excellent venue. Sambali Beach Farm is an eight hectare organic farm located right beside the beach. This is farm life elevated! For its produce, Sambali Beach Farm uses Biochar or carbonized biomass, an agricultural waste made into charcoal that traps carbon and other greenhouse gases in the soil, housing microbes that plants use to take in nutrients, and cools down the beach sand. Natural technologies such as Bokashi, a process of composting, and vermicomposting keep the farm all-organic and sustainable. The farm’s chickens, pigs, and sheep are fed with natural food and supplements. Wood vinegar is applied to the livestock to ensure that their pens are clean and pest-free. We also visit the salt farm that uses a traditional process of creating salt that is unique to the northern coastline of the Philippines. We head to the scenic Bancal River for lunch and some midday kayaking. Afterwards, swimsuit up! We’re going island hopping to explore pristine islands around the West Philippine Sea. Beach goals unlocked!
DAY 6 (BLD) BOTOLAN-SAN MARCELINO-ANTIPOLO
Sling your luggage into the van. We’re heading to San Marcelino to visit a massive orchard that’s home to 888 trees producing the sweetest Philippine Carabao Mangoes. Enjoy endless mango treats at Rosa Farms for your brunch including mango medley salad, mango pizza, and mango sticky rice. Afterwards we make our way to Mapanuepe Lake, a lagoon that conceals a drowned village beneath its serene waters. Mapanuepe Lake was formed in 1991 as an aftermath of the cataclysmic eruption of Mount Pinatubo. Immense lahar flows blocked the two major rivers of Mapanuepe Valley (Maranella River and Mapanuepe River) connecting Santo Tomas River, submerging an entire village under water. We traverse the lake by boat and make our way to the sunken Bojaoen Church with its protruding steeple, the only visible remnant of the sunken town. Afterwards we navigate to Antipolo, a suburb of Manila located on the slopes of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range, and a haven for the arts and relaxation. Relax and recharge at Luljetta’s Hanging Gardens & Spa with facilities like heated Jacuzzi, hydro-massage pool, sauna, meditation lounges, and the infinity pool. Dinner will be served amidst a mountain resort setting with a commanding view of the majestic Laguna de Bay and Manila skyline. You know you deserve it!

The Statue of Saint Vincent Ferrer in Bayambang is taller than the Statue of Liberty in New York and the Christ the Redeemer statue in Sao Paolo.
DAY 7 (BLD) ANTIPOLO-TANAY-ANTIPOLO
Down your breakfast then get ready for another day of fun explorations and discoveries. We visit Carolina Bamboo Garden, a Bambusetum that cultivates 45 varieties of indigenous and exotic bamboo plants. Did you know bamboo is the fastest growing plant on this planet? It can grow up to 1.2 meters in height in 24 hours under appropriate climate conditions. Bamboo is a crucial element in the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. A grove of bamboo releases 35% more oxygen than other trees, and also absorbs enormous amounts of greenhouse gases. Afterwards we make our way to Palaya Natural Farm, famous for producing the sweet and crunchy Dragon fruit. Embrace the natural surroundings as we explore the farm on foot. There’s also a river to cool your body down. Go loco and feast on a buffet of freshly harvested fruits. For your farewell dinner, we’re going all out with a delicious five course set at Tahanan Bistro (No less!) while ogling at the overlooking view.
* Dragon fruit season is from June to November
DAY 8 (B) ANTIPOLO-MANILA-DEPARTURE
It’s your last day in the country but before you wave goodbye, we drop by Tesoro's Philippine Handicrafts for souvenir shopping to remind you of your unforgettable stay. Afterwards, transfer to the airport for your flight. Tour ends. Farewell and until we meet again.
